Hi! I'm Evan, (he/him). I'm a queer artist in Salt Lake City. I love painting, graphic design, slam poetry, and writing. I've worked professionally in opinion writing for The Daily Utah Chronicle, but I also enjoy writing poetry and plays! I love playing the violin, too, although it's one of my weakest skills.Acting is, by far, my favorite artform. Whether it’s theatre or film, taking on a new role is the most enjoyable thing to me. I’m best at bringing soul, empathy, and a bit of sass to every character I take on. I love to take on characters with emotional depth, but I tend to the tropes of troubled teenagers, soulful artists, and nerdy high schoolers. As a queer man, I also have a unique passion for queer art, including through film and theatre. I love finding the grit and nuance of characters, but I equally love finding the theatrical drama to them. I love finding humanity in my acting.I love to work with kind-hearted creatives who strive to deepen the work, even if it's closing night. I prioritize professionalism, empathy, and honest connection wherever I work. My favorite things to work on are new works, whether it's a brand-new play or an incredibly original film.
